Is Your Garage Door Open?

The FIRST night we moved in to our new house, we woke up the next morning and realized our garage door had been left open ALL night - with most of our belongings stuffed into it. We had a solid hour where we thought our lawn mower had been stolen. Our neighborhood is nice, but it still is in Detroit, so we live peacefully with a watchful eye.

One of our first priorities is to upgrade the security system that this house already has. I want more cameras and more sensors around the house. And NOW, I want a way to check and see if the garage door is left open. The way the garage faces means I can’t see the door from from our windows.

I did a quick Amazon search and found this system that appears to do exactly what I wanted it to, but it was less than $30. I felt like that had to be too good to be true.

So, I took to Instagram. And, as always, you guys had a WEALTH of knowledge.

Do you have any experience with the ones listed above? My cheap Amazon find definitely seems to be a fan favorite! So, I ordered it and will let you know when it comes!
