Kitchen Links

The kitchen was a strange place when we moved in. It was a LARGE addition to the back of the house and you could really tell. It doesn’t flow into the rest of the house in any way. And while we aren’t doing any renovations to it anytime soon, I knew I could help make it feel more a part of the house with just some decorations and cozying it up.

Here is where we started with the kitchen when we moved in. These are the listing photos.

Mostly, the kitchen just felt HUGE and EMPTY and UNFINISHED.

So, I got to work.

Zig Zag plant
Lazy Susan is thrifted
Hand Planter
Gold Bowl - old from Target

Striped Chairs
Table
Bench
Dining Chairs
Island is thrifted
Floating Shelves are Stair Treads from Home Depot
Shelf brackets
Over stove Pot Rack
Copper Pots are thrifted
Trash Can
Melamine Plates
Plate Holder
Cement Head Planter
Most everything else on the shelves are thrifted

Curtains
Armoire is second hand
Bowls and Crocks are thrifted

Baskets
Shelves
All decor is thrifted

Still lots to come with the kitchen! I need to paint the pantry and the wall behind the pantry. I need to decide on some sort of stone or brick texture for the two walls with windows. Still need a longer eat-in island and a rug under the dining table. Gotta cozy this kitchen up! I’d also love to do faux beams on the ceiling and some hanging lights above the island.
